I had the Dulce de Leche and Vegan blueberry bar. Very good, I'm glad they offered different milk alternatives and vegan and gluten free food. Definitely coming back.
Perfect espresso extraction and a thick layer of crema and smoothest flavor. I chose this place given the espresso reviews and the fact that they had empanadas on the menu. It was a delight to enter and notice that it was started by an Argentinian. I can still remember the great taste of empanadas 6 years ago from the visit there. I will update on empanadas once I have them for dinner. Was too full at that time.
Checked out this spot while in KC for a day. Got the Café de olla, it did not disappoint. Baristas were friendly. Cool menu with plenty of options and seasonal drinks. Atmosphere is excellent and inviting. Definitely check this place out for a coffee, pastry, or even a tamale and an empanada.
I only tried the food. The alfajor and breakfast empanada were good. Cost is a little high for the ratio of food you get. The tamales left a lot to be desired. You can get better quality, bigger, and better tasting tamales for a lower price down at one of the Mexican restaurants on Southwest Blvd. Overall, there was nothing I'd go out of my way to purchase again.
Five stars cause I do love you guys, but please please make your tamales bigger especially for the price your customers pay for them
We loved the dulce de leche latte and the alfajores. The girls are super nice and the coffee has a lovely environment. The only cons I will say is they are not pet friendly :/ I come back to this place over and over and they never disappoint!! I can not recommend this place enough!
My boyfriend and I aren’t big coffee drinkers but we were able to get the Machata which was delicious. We also had the breakfast burrito and an apple empanada. I was unable to get a photo of the empanada due to it being devoured within minutes. I was told it was warm, delicious, and had caramel on top. We will be back soon!!
This is such an amazing Cafe! The coffee is fantastic, tamales and empanadas are delicious, and the pastry items yummy. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. They have coffee flights if you can't choose just one. There is a latte flight or a mocha flight. I have the latte flight pictured here. They also serve Yerba mate. There is a lot of seating with outlets so you can bring a computer and work (or play!) It has such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are all amazing.
This shop isn't going to make it. Service really is horrible and so where the drinks. The barista was rude to my kids and the drinks they were served were awful. Cheap and half full. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after reading the owners responses to other reviews, I'm confident this place is actually a 1 star cafe.
Beautiful space with friendly owners and delicious treats! Love their space and the store. Extensive menu with lots to choose from and so much more. I found service to be a little slow as it took more than 20 minutes to get the empanadas after placing an order but other than that, I loved everything, especially the drink with a kick of Chipotle. That had to be my favourite! The vegetarian empanada was really good but needed to be cook slightly more. Out of all cafes I visited in Kansas City, this one has to be my favourite though I wish there was more vegetarian options on the menu. They've got some tables set up outside as well which is nice.
