I recently purchased a large number of tickets from this group for Disneyland. I found them on MouseSavers and thought I would give them a try as they would save me a few dollars a ticket. I called and got the quote for almost 50 tickets, yes it was a big group and yes those tickets are expensive. The gentleman who helped me said that because I was getting so many tickets he should be able to get the handling fee of almost $100 waived, but I would have to pay in full and they would refund it after it cleared my credit card....I know, silly of me to trust them. Needless to say, I never received the credit. Multiple calls later I finally was able to get a response from a manager who said "We can never refund the handling fees." Needless to say, I won't be using them again. Although after the fees for each ticket I did save a few dollars, hence 2 stars, I would prefer to pay the couple dollars and get the tickets straight from Disneyland when I arrive. Since the vouchers must be redeemed at the window and exchanged for tickets, I have to go through the line anyway, and if there is any problem, Disneyland is excellent at customer service. Save yourself the headache of expiration dates,handling charges and a middle man, just buy the tickets at the gate when you arrive on site. Doing so may cost the family of four $12 over Ares prices, but you have the peace of mind that you are working directly with Disney.
They are not worthy of even 1 star, but I cannot leave less than a star. I booked a hotel for the same day. After waiting a bit for a confirmation email, and not receiving one (I did check my spam) I called the hotel to confirm the reservation. They could not find it. After checking my credit card to confirm that I was charged, I tried the hotel again. They still couldn't find my reservation. I booked a different hotel through hotels.com then tried to contact the arestravel.com contact number to cancel the reservation. At this point I had already been dealing with this for over an hour because of long hold times. They would not reverse the charge and insisted that I received a confirmation email and that I had a reservation. After another hour of back and forth between them and the hotel, I just give up. Never booking through them again and would not recommend to anyone.
the booking process was straightforward, but the response time to inquiries could be improved. overall, an average experience with room for enhancement.
The staff were helpful and polite. They kindly credited us money when the hotel we booked botched our reservation. We had an unfortunate hotel experience ( not ares fault) but I would definitely book through them again and probably let them recommend accommodations
We had some problems with a reservation. The person we spoke to was rude. When asked for a supervisor, she said she was the manager and told us there was no one higher. She made it clear that she would not help us clear up the reservation problems we were having and we were stuck. Never book through these people.
Never used them but starting around sept 1 I've been getting bombarded with emails, so they bought/were provided my email from somewhere.
This company has some great deals on hotels and attraction tickets for Southern California, check out the Disney prices. Great prices all around!
