A2Z Builders

We had a phenomenal experience working with A2Z Builders on a recent project to update our kitchen. The entire team was very transparent, detail oriented, and incredibly easy to communicate with. They provided clear updates throughout the entire process to make sure we were never surprised about anything and that we were happy with the results. The quality of the work was also exceptional. I would highly recommend working with A2Z Builders for any future home renovation projects.
A2Z is amazing to work with! Great communication, top quality work, everyone was respectful of our home, clean, I really can’t say enough about them. Brian Hershoff, our project manager, made me feel like we were his only project, we weren’t by any means, but that’s just how good of a project manager he is. I highly recommend!
Project started out great. But it just drug on, something that should have been done in 2 months took 5 and when it came time to finish work they just could not get the right paint on the right surface. And there were only three paint colors to choose from. Also their texture blending leaves a lot to be desired I can easily see the places they patched in the daytime sun light. Just wish they would have finished the project as strong as they started.
Idan and Brian were the PM’s on my remodel. It was extensive, essentially putting the house back together from the studs. Idan and Brian were incredibly responsive and managed to get the whole project done in about 3 months, including applying for the permit in Boulder County. The work they did was of the highest quality and they came back promptly after the project was finished to fix little things that were overlooked or out of place. These guys are professional, honest, efficient, and great communicators. I would highly recommend them.
We hired A2Z for a kitchen remodel based on an initial estimate of ~$49K and a clearly stated $50K budget. One of the main reasons we chose them was for their design expertise and the expectation that their team would guide us through selections and help keep the project aligned with that budget. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Throughout the design phase, we were routinely asked to make selections without any pricing. Costs were often provided weeks later — and only after multiple follow-ups. By the time pricing was finally shared, cabinetry alone came in at nearly 3x the original allowance, making it clear the project was never realistically aligned with our budget from the start. There was also no centralized budget tracking or cost management. Pricing came through scattered emails and WhatsApp messages, and we ultimately had to build and maintain our own detailed budget spreadsheet just to understand total project costs. That required pulling together fragmented information across weeks of communication and doing our own research on Denver pricing — something we assumed would be part of the service we were hiring for. Communication overall was inconsistent and often required repeated follow-ups just to get basic information. It was also unclear who our primary point of contact was for pricing and guidance as the project progressed. In addition, we were advised to purchase appliances before cabinet, quartz, and tile pricing had been finalized. As a result, we now have ~$7,000 in appliances sitting in storage — with potential restocking fees — as we restart this project with a different contractor. With proper pricing visibility, we would not have made that decision. Overall, the process lacked transparency, coordination, and proactive guidance. What should have been an exciting renovation ended up requiring significant time and effort on our end just to obtain pricing and understand whether the project was even feasible. We ultimately chose to cancel our contract. While we did receive a partial refund, getting there required substantial follow-up and back-and-forth on our end. I shared this feedback directly with A2Z’s leadership team in detail, but did not receive any acknowledgment or response. That lack of accountability is the reason I’m sharing this experience here. I’m giving two stars because the team was friendly and did attempt to offer solutions toward the end. However, the overall experience created far more stress, time investment, and financial uncertainty than we expected, especially for what was presented as a guided, full-service design and build process. For anyone considering a remodel with A2Z, I strongly recommend ensuring allowances are realistic, pricing is provided alongside selections, and that there is a clear system in place to track your budget from the beginning.
A2Z did a phenomenal job and were fairly priced: I would highly recommend them to anyone. After interviewing a half-dozen contractors in the Denver area, some of which did not want to do things above board with permits, we settled on A2Z to gut and renovate our kitchen and transform a room into a main bathroom with a walk-in closet. A2Z also agreed to work on a half dozen minor things that had been bothering us in our 100+ year-old home. Yuval was our main project lead, and on-site we had Bar and Izzy, all three of which were highly responsive and great communicators. By the end of the project we felt like they were family. Our designer, Macy, was phenomenal and her vision for our old home was spot on. All of their subcontractors were kind and professional. In a way we are almost sad the work was done because we enjoyed working with everyone at A2Z. Truly the best in Denver.
I recently hired A2Z Builders to renovate my bathroom, and I had a fantastic experience working with them. Barak, Jim and Shaina were all incredibly professional from start to finish. They handled all permits and made sure I had copies of their licenses and insurance upfront, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project. They were always responsive kept me informed and showed up exactly when they said they would. What really stood out was their attention to detail and how much they genuinely cared about making sure I was happy every step of the way. They took the time to check in regularly and make sure everything was done right. The final result exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier with my new bathroom. I highly recommend A2Z Builders and I would absolutely work with them again.
I had a bathroom upgrade and a kitchen counter/back splash project. Adam managed the project so well, they finished ahead of time (9 days from start to finish!) and within budget. Everything looks great. I would trust A2Z (and especially Adam) to work on my house again. All the workers were very respectful of my house and what I wanted. They all worked hard and did a great job.
My husband and I are in the very beginning stages of a full home renovation. We found A2Z builders at a home show. They were very quick to make all sorts of promises about how good they are with communication and the best in the industry for big projects like ours. We scheduled a consultation with them as well as two other companies. On April 1, they sent Benji and Jim to do a walkthrough of the house so they could give us a quote for the project. Benji was the worst project manager I’ve ever met and I only spent an hour with him. He asked the same questions multiple times because he just didn’t listen to our responses. He was great with a sales pitch but hardly let us talk or listen to our wants/needs/concerns. They told us we would have a quote by April 27th so we set up a second appointment to go to their showroom on that day. Jim asked to reschedule the Friday before which was fine but I mentioned that we were still waiting for the quote and wanted to know a ballpark figure before spending more of our time with this company. It is now over a month later and we still haven’t heard back from them or received any quote. If this is indicative of the type of communication we would receive during a $500,000 renovation, I can’t imagine how disappointed I would be in choosing their company. Clearly, we are moving forward with a different company but I thought it was worth sharing our story to others who might be on the fence about using them!
I was looking to have my kitchen fully remodeled by a company with an A class license without the headache of having a contractor that would need to sub out part of the job. A2Z builders fit everything I needed! I worked closely with Benjamin Triger, the project manager. I appreciated his prompt communication, adherence to my timeline, and his quality control of the workers and overall outcome. I’ve already recommended him to my parents for their upcoming home remodel!
